It has come to our attention that an article printed in today's Courier Mail has incorrectly attributed to this website a statement seeking members signatures for an Extraordinary General Meeting. The petition hosted on this site was a pre-emptive attempt to provide the club with feedback from the wider community on the now released jumper. The names from this petition will not be used to call an EGM.

With the announcement of the new Brisbane Lions logo this week, there are growing concerns that the club plans to use this new marketing motif to replace the current Lion on our guernsey. We have seen a groundswell of support through various media to retain the current design. To help get this message across to the club, we have created a central point where you can voice your concerns.

The creators of this site understand the realities surrounding the need for the club to create a new logo for merchandising and its corporate identity. It is clear the previous logo needed a redesign and SaveOurJumper embrace it as proud supporters of our club. The change, however, should not necessitate the alteration of an adored and respected playing uniform.. believed by many to be the best in the league.

If you share this view, and wish for the club to retain the current playing strip, sign the petition, write a letter, tell a fellow Lions supporter and spread the word so that they can do the same.
